There is a strong gravitational pull towards the familiar feeling of home. Sarah Weiss grew up understanding home as a place of security, closeness, and emotional attachment. In time, however, these realities became memories as family split and moved cross-country. Intimate impressions of home and family became fragmented and obscure. Between is a continuation of 7,223 Between MFA Thesis created in the Imaging Arts program at Rochester Institute of Technology in 2016.
Between utilizes translucent silk as a medium to make work to creates a presence that involves interaction with the viewer.
